Meriton on Kent Street - Great Location

Meriton on Kent street is strategically located near tourist spots , restaurants , convenience stores and train stations. We had a smooth online reservation and staff replied quickly via email. We requested for a room in the higher floors with a view of Darling Harbour and they tried to reserve one for us but with no guarantee due to many guests checking in on our arrival date. When we arrived at Meriton, check in was fast and they made us stay at the waiting lounge while they were preparing our room.

Behold, when we entered our assigned room, it has a nice view of Darling Harbour.

  The room has all the amenities of a serviced apartment and we were happy with the cleanliness of the room. The bed was wide and mattress was soft. We have a big LCD television, a nice dining table, an electric stove, toaster, dish washer, microwave oven , mini refrigerator and washing machine.Aircon was quiet but we did not use it as often as we can because it was winter.

They have heated swimming pool , jacuzzi , mini gym and sauna. Our room was refreshed on our third day and daily after that. Meriton at Kent is walking distance to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Paddy's market, Coles supermarket, Town Hall and Museum train stations. One can walk leisurely to Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral, Royal Botanical Garden, Art Gallery of NSW, Opera House. Circular Quay can be reached via Town Hall Station. It is very near George Street which is a major road.

As for the staff, they are very helpful and friendly. We borrowed umbrella and extra plug. They also helped us with directions. Special mention to Angelica who refreshed our room. She was a part time staff; she made up our room and changed the toiletries. We will definitely recommend Meriton at Kent street to our relatives and friends.
