Bag of Beans, Tagaytay

After Caleruega, we headed to Tagaytay to try the yummy pastries at Bag of Beans.

We stayed at the garden restaurant.Since it was not yet lunchtime , we ordered for Cafe Baraco, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry smoothie.

Even if it was warmer outside, it was cool at the garden resto as it was surrounded by trees and plants. The ambience is really nice. We have never eaten al fresco and eating at Bag of Beans was a different experience.

Btw, we also got raisin bread and ensaymada from their bakery.

Butterfly Garden 4.29.2010

final leg of our journey on ANZAC day - Marikina's Butterfly Farm

Butterflies are fascinating creatures. The transformation from an ugly caterpillar to a beautiful flying thing is something only a Supreme Being can do. We seldom see butterflies nowadays maybe because of the pollution and the vanishing natural environment wherein they thrive.
Am happy to discover that there is a butterfly farm within driving distance. It is located in Marikina Heights. After doing the Pasig River Ferry ride, Intramuros walk, we're headed to Marikina to visit their Butterfly Garden.

Butterflies abound during the first quarter of the year, so we learned. Since it was end of April, there were fewer butterflies in the garden.
Butterfly Garden is mutli purpose as activities like wedding reception, debut, educational tour can be held there. Here are some butterflies i "captured".
Entrance fee is Php40.00 You can visit Marikina City website.

Caleruega 05.03.2010

May 3 was declared as a non working holiday and it was a good photo opportunity for me once again. I dragged my hubby and son to Caleruega and Tagaytay. Caleruega has been photographed so many times and lots of weddings were held here because of the ambience. Let me check it out...

The midday sun was casting heavy shadows and it was a challenge for me as i tried to avoid the shadows.

Here's the interior of the lobby/reception area :

There are lots of plants, trees and flowers . The gardens are warm welcome and it will soothe your senses.
